If the boot fits

Photo of a light green dress boot that has a Turbomed footbrace attached. There is a pair of small sewing sissors beside the boot. I bought these boots for work, they were a bit small, but I can’t really feel my feet, and they were on sale.

The first time I put them on I was going to a job interview… The right one seemed to have shrunk, it took about 5 minutes to jam my foot in. By then I was late and had to run.

After the interview I noticed that the boot on my right foot felt tight, and a little painful. I don’t normally have any feeling in that foot, so I thought it was a little strange.

As I walked down the street the pain in my right foot got worse and worse.

Finally I couldn’t cope any longer, I walked into a shop, greeted the shop assistant, sat down on a chair and pulled the boot off.

To my surprise the sewing sissors I’d been missing for months, fell on the floor!

I simply exclaimed, “there they are!”, put the boot back on, the sissors in my bag and left.
